Maybe you have heard that some are predicting the end of the world tomorrow. In that case, you won't need any of these. 

 

 

While I am pretty sure we are all still going to be hanging out on May 22nd, this article about the May 21st believers caught my attention :

 

"Knowing the date of the end of the world changes all your future plans," says 27-year-old Adrienne Martinez.

She thought she'd go to medical school, until she began tuning in to Family Radio. She and her husband, Joel, lived and worked in New York City. But a year ago, they decided they wanted to spend their remaining time on Earth with their infant daughter... 

Joel says they're spending the last of their savings. They don't see a need for one more dollar...

"We budgeted everything so that, on May 21, we won't have anything left," Adrienne adds.

This article about

30 days when the world didn't end 

caught my eye also.

I particularly liked #23

23: Sep 28, 1992: "Rockin" Rollen Stewart, an eccentric evangelist who started the craze for holding up signs representing bible verses at public events [John 3:16 was the most popular of these] was certain that The Rapture would occur on this day. He went on to instigate a campaign of stink-bombing churches and other religiously inspired acts of madness, which culminated with his imprisonment for kidnapping. 

Last, I know it has been done. 

This is a slightly different take on a 

"Bucket List" 

It would be interesting to incorporate into a sweet romance about someone trying to accomplish these before the end of the world.

(Skip the dying at the end part~I am a happily ever after person. Except for the people I kill off in my murder mysteries, but you know how that goes. )

So, swap with me! There is a good possibility, at least in my world, that we are all still going to be here tomorrow. If that is the case, then I will have some writing to do!
